Default Is this a GSR? Please help!

Is this a Integra GS-R?

I see that the rims are from a GS-R, but the year of the car is 1997.

I don't think so unless they took the spoiler off.

Check if its a manual or automatic, because all GSR's are 5spd manual transmission. GSR and LS valve covers aren't swappable, so if the valve cover says "DOHC VTEC" its probably a GSR.

negatory the rims are not the GSR blades....the originals you can see the lugs.
Also the wing is gone my guess it is not a gsr.

No reason to believe that a 1997 model would not be a GSR. It's not like they didn't make any GSR's in 97.

Best way to check is the engine bay( if it says dohc Vtec), gauge cluster( see where the redline is: if it begins at 8000), the vtec badge located below the rear right tail lights. GSR's only come in manual shifts. (although LS/RS...etc have manuals as well). If it's a automatic, no way it's a GSR.

That Integra is a 5spd. But, there's no way I can check out the car in person. If it is indeed a GS-R from the pic I am going ask my dad's friend to check out the car for me. Here is the description:

manual, 2 dr., 1.8, 4 cyl., gas, front wheel, black exterior, black interior, alloy wheels, tinted windows, bucket seats, air conditioning, am-fm stereo, compact disc, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, tilt wheel, drivers air bag, passenger air bag, anti-theft, keyless entry

I need to get rid of my RS, and I really really want a GS-R.

Thanks for all the help so far.

I just scanned over the posts, but doesn't a GSR come standard with a moon roof? That car does NOT have one.

When in doubt, just pass it up. Take your time on looking for the right one. If you're gonna buy a used car, you should at least see it in person. From looking at the picture, it doesn't appear to be a Gsr. I can't seem to see if it has a sunroof. Its possible that someone stoled the rims and spoiler. But like everyone else said, you need to look into the engine bay and see the Dohc Vtec on the valve cover or better yet check to see if there is a vtec solenoid. Goodluck

Or you could just open the driver side door and see if it redlines at 8 instead of 6.5 or whatever it is.

NO! Those are del sol rims, and there's no standard spoiler.

Nope Those are Del Sol rims, no stock spoiler, no sunroof = possibly an RS.
I think the interior is also tan, all GSR in black in with the black interior.

If you want to be sure on this, just in case someone modified it, give me the VIN and I will check it out on carfax. Tells you year, brand, model, and type.

Now that I look at it more. No moonroof, and there is an "H" logo on the rims. For sure I don't think its a GS-R. Thanks for everyone's help, and thanks ****** again for checking that VIN for me

Usually in the ad, if it doesn't say its a GSR, then its usually not.

As stated before look for: Redline at 8100, DOHC VTEC on valve cover and on back-right hand side of the car.

that is NOT a GSR

...and those rims were i believe optional on earlier LS' while also being on Del Sol's...but the ones for Integras came with a Acura centercap of course...ive seen a couple other stock integras rolling around here with those wheels and a couple guys on webboards that have them too....but that car is not a GSR.

Always try to see the car in person, as someone previously said...wait for a good one rather then a quick deal. Some GSR's may feel different (if abused and what not)...plus if you have no idea of anything but the model type....it's difficult to know what your getting yourself into.

My $.02 ) - 8k redline, valve cover --> vtec, vtec solenoid to the left of the valvecover if it's been changed (???) badge on the rear....if those things are missing, then something is fishy about the car !
