You need cams... you need rods, you need exhaust. You are gonna need some sort of ECU tuning. What are your goals for the car, how much power do you want and how fast do you want to go. Those should be provided so we can better help you.

A cheaper more reliable alternative might be 4.9 or 4.7 (JDM ITR) final drive on your GSR tranny. Or a tranny swap B16A2 (cheaper) JDM ITR 98 (better but more expensive) and a LSD if you can.

As for motor you need cams. Skunk stage 2 (i think dont quote me on this I have to double check) should give you some good gains with all the things you mentioned.

With the setup you should be around around 180-190whp my guess. With GSR tranny mid to low 14's. If your lucky maybe you can make more power. With a 4.9 final drive or tranny swap low 14's maybe high 13's. I suggest getting a LSD. Should help you launch better.

Alright. Here is some things that can hopefully help you out.

Now you mentioned you already purchased the pistons and you want a headgasket. Also, potentially milling the head along with the port and polish. Alright, do you know where that is going to put you in compression? That is very important to know, because when choosing Cams for your GSR your going to want a set that gets the most power at a given compression rate, meaning you don't want to overcam/undercam your engine because you could see a decrease in power. There are recommended ranges for certain cams, do some research and find out which cams will best suit your needs. You should look for what kind of powerband you want (midrange/top end) or what kind of redline your going to have (to make sure your valvetrain upgrade can handle it). But most important is getting the cams that will benefit the most from your compression ratio.

Now onto some other mods. You need to get some high quality bolt-ons if your really serious abouty your goal of 200whp. Meaning a Toda/SMSP/ Header, etc, 2.5" carsound hi flow cat or a straight pipe then a 2.5" exhaust. After these simple bolt-ons them some tranny work is always a good idea. You should get a better then stock clutch that can grab pretty good, a lightweight flywheel for some fast reving and a Final Drive for that GSR tranny (4.785, 4.9), better then just buying an entire new tranny and spending money you don't have to. Now along with your cams you are going to need some cam gears to tune out your powerband at the dyno to get the most out of those cams on the dyno (Toda, Skunk2). As far as a Intake Manifold, just get a Skunk2 IM, its a replica of the ITR IM which has just one runner instead of the GSR mani which has 2 runners. Its geared more for top end racing/driving. After this obviously a simple intake of any kind will help whether its custom or a brand name, grab a high quality filter instead of a garbage pep boys one. Once you have done this then you should definately think about that headwork, now depending on how much your willing to spend is what will happen here, you can send it out to a reputable shop or do it in your area.....either way make sure your going to somebody who knows what they are doing. This is going to be a huge key to your power with those big cams, once you have finished the headwork then you should be all set for tuning, at the dyno you could get a chipped ecu to fit your car and then tune your fuel and power curves. This should put you pretty damn close to 200whp.

I pulled 190whp with a similar setup to what I mentioned except I was never tuned and I never had cam gears, any bottom end work and never touched my ecu or redline. I also used ITR cams so you could definately reach your power goals with that setup. I did however have killer headwork done by DPR (Dan Paramore) with was key to the power I got. The rest of the setup was built together to all respond with the other mods which made my setup pretty successful, I ran a 14.2 in my only track appearance in crappy conditions, I could have easily hit high 13's (I also have a 4.785 JDM FD, I highly suggest a final drive).

goodluck, if I missed something Ill try and fill in later on.

so your saying that i should look at what compression i want first and then decide on what type of cams right? what do you think ill be looking at with itr pistons and im confused now because some tell me p73AO is jdm and some say p73OO is jdm
i have the AO

oh yea i have exedy stage 1 and im getting 2.5 straight pipe all the way to the 2.5 collector on the header.

thanx for your replies helped me out a lot
