Default Gsr?

My friend's 95 gsr acceleration is way stronger than my 96 integra gsr, but his high end power isn't strong as mine. We both have I/H/E. His gsr reaches 120 mph slower than mine. Plus his gsr mileage is around 85000 miles and my gsr is around 180000+ miles. Is obd1 gsr stronger than obd2 gsr? Why is my gsr have more high end power than my friend's 95 gsr?

Do you have different intake, headers, and exhaust? I'm going you do so that could effect it. Does he drive different than you do? I'm guessing he does.

Maybe he has a Corvette engine in his GSR and you don't?

Theres so many variables that could affect that that I'm not even going to begin listing them. I wouldn't worry about it, unless you and your friend aren't as good of friends that you pretend to be and secretly love to out do one another and brag all the time, which case you aren't real friends anyway.

You could waste a lot of money and have both your cars dyno'd if you would like. You have the same series motor but 2 different years and one has more mileage than the other. It could be your transmission or extra weight, but who cares.

should be the health of your motor. obd2 and obd1 engines both perform identical. obd1 is just more tuning friendly

If hes accerelates faster, then wouldnt it get to 120 faster. Maybe he just cant drive and you're kicking his *** on the shifts.

are you sure you guys have the same trannys cause reaching up to 120mph in a LS will take a long time then a GSR will. trust me on that. 1st and 2nd gear is practically the same then a slight change on 3rd with the LS cuase its a bit longer.

They both have GS-Rs, which would be a GS-R tranny.

Might wanna make sure your engine is at least a GSR. And then find the person who sold you it and ******* kill them. I'm hoping you are planning on getting a GSR or ITR tranny. You will like your car much better if you do, trust me.

just put both your cars on the dyno and find out who lacks in what area because no 2 cars will run the same no matter what

it can be cam timing. every car has something called overlap.. thats is when both intake and exhaust valves are open... more overlap helps high end power and less is low end.... soo it could be that your timing or are different by a little or one of your cam lobes are a little worn out. can also be leaks.
