A kid in town got 1.7 hp to the wheels by using HKS grounding kit. my bad, sorry haven't check this thread in a while. It's not uncommon to get a couple horses to the wheel off a modded honda motor with a grounding kit. But your right not 17 horses.

no way that grounding your car would give you that much of a difference...

Agreed the stickers would do more for you
But being serious, I want to see this 17hp gain from the dyno sheet. Or is this just another one of those my friend's friend heard deal.

He doesnt have any dyno sheets. I think I am going to use some stereo ground cable and replace the stock one. We are tlaking about the wire that goes from the valve cover to the radiator support?

I dont know about feeling the gains - and Id never spend 100$ on a grounding kit you can make yourself for 15$.

Mine helped the idle - smoothed it out a little. Youre not gonna get 5 whp from a grounding kit....probably not 1 whp...itll just smooth things out for you a bit.

I made my own kit, had it on a for a few months. Ended up selling it for more than what I made it for.

Bright lights, better idle, hp, I didn't feel any of this.

IMHO it is a waste of money.

Same as this guy, just smoothed things out for me in my teg. Smoother idle, brighter lights, some say it makes the stereo system sound cleaner. I like it, i would say it is worth it to do it yourself, not worth it to buy a kit for 100.00!!!

Is that what it's suppose to do? I could use the brighter lights since my aem pullies cause my lights to dim at idle. I wonder if people they purchase feel the smoother powerband because they paid $100 of if they actually feel something.

I remember a user used to sell these kits on H-T. Anyone remember who it was?

he said 1.7 not 17. Basically grounding kits make your car run smoother, it also does give you better gas mileage. As far as performance, better and smoother acceleration, not much gain in hp. But over all a good mod.

Yes the grounding requirements for a GSR are vastly different than a LS

It's more of a 'run smoother' than 'run stronger' mod. You may feel a difference on the butt dyno but thats just because you are anticipating it being faster.
