Ground Controls?
Guys,I have H&R race springs for about a year and a half now and the front has sagged so low its almost on the floor, oil pan is all scratched up,camber is off and the tires are destroyed, wheel wells are getting chewed up,its bumpy as hell, and 1 of rubber boots on my axel has broken off and all the greese squirted out,and we have winter coming up with snow!So the point is I have to get a different setup at once! The best thing I've seen besides spending 1k+ for a true coilover system is the GC units.I have a few questions=
1.Are the regular springs rates strong enough for about a 2 1/4 inch drop during the warm weather?
2.If not should I get custom rates made?
3.Whats a good custom spring rate for daily driving?
4.Does it cost more to have custom rates?
5.Were can I get the best price for a set?How much?
6.How do you guys like this setup?
If you guiys could let me know I would really appreciate it,thanks in advance.

I had H&R with Tokico Blues, the blues blew out in the front and the car was all over the road,I purchased just front Koni Yellows and it made the front end nice and sturdy, the rear feels fine because the spring rate is higher and the drop is higher. So I just purchased front Koni Yellows about 6 months ago so I don't need them.Maybe the rear so I figure I would go with Ground Controls and If $$$ permits rear koni Yellows but I had these questions about them.

Higher spring rate and more drop means the shocks will wear out faster... I would first get some Konis for the rear to match the front.
I will probably be ordering rates of 350/400 F/R. You don't have them made, you just pick what you want from their massive range of selection.
Can't wait to get mine, because my springs suck BAD, even on Konis.

I have a 2.25-2.5" drop in front and 1.75-2" drop in the back on the standard-rate gc's, and I have no problems with it. I've done a lot of hpde's, and haven't had any problems. No bottoming out in turns, no scraping, and the ride is hella nice on the street. But, when I hit big-*** potholes or fall off the track, I'll bottom out the suspension, but that's very rare when that happens
i totally agree with garados..mine is very low...and im rolling with 18's...Konis shocks and gc is very good...they are comfortable...but when i hit potholes, my wheels cant rebound that quick..i think because my springs is not designed for my shocks...i have called gc for that too...they told me to get someting with with higher spring rate...i was actually thinkin of buying the front a new one and put the old front spring to the rear...i really dont think any set up is good when ur running 215 35 18...

er.. i tend not to like the regular spring rates 380f/250r.. my buddy handed me down some 500's for my koni/gc setup.. we put em on the rear.. i prefer a stiffer setup.. i've been getting a lil more competitive lately so i'd rather have something 500f/600r.. but the regular spring rates are great for daily driving/occasional track purposes.. definitely an improvement over stock shocks w/lowering springs alone..
