Grinding 3rd sometimes?
94 integra LS, 133,000 miles. I don't get what the hell is going on....but sometimes when I hit third as easy as possible, it grinds, and other times it doesnt. The other night I chirped 3rd no grind. Sometimes I'll just be like regular cruising, shift into 3rd at about 4000, it'll grind, so I drop it back down in second, and try again, this time I put the clutch to the floor, and completely let off the gas, and it still grinded, but if I pull it out back into neutral, then back into 3rd, nothing. I don't get this ****, oh yeah, I've had the car for about 3 days, and I just crossed over from domestic to import. sooooo is this something I should be usual with, or do I need a new tranny in the near future?

ok, first off...about the post ***** thing... honestly, im sorry
https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch <-- use this (domestics pff!
)ull easily find that u have synchro problem... no need to waste time now!!
the grinding may be attributed to running with low clutch fluid. Since you say its only happens in 3rd, it may be due to your syncros needing replacement. no need to have a new tranny. Just having the syncros replaced will do.

make shure its friction modified version
I've had this problem before...turns out its bad syncros. I've had this problem with my old prelude and my EG. Better get it fixed asap or you wont be able to get into any of your gears. Rebuilding the tranny would prob cost over a grand, pending on location. The parts are cheap, but its the labor that'll cost. Also, change your tranny fluid to Honda MTF, see if that'll fix the problem. If not, its time for new tranny. Hope this helps.
