Default greddy header

i was on superhonda to looking in the prelude forum and they were talking about wat the best header really was. all of them said that DC sports is really just for show and that if you really wanted some power to buy a race header SMPS, RMF, Hytech etc... but they also said that if your budget wasent that great to pick up a greddy header and just modify the collecter to 2.5 and you can almost get the same 10-20 whp out of it as if you had a race header. my question is wat do you guys think of this? any info is helpful

thanx

My Suggestion is if your budget isnt too great, save and get the better part, you always get what you pay for? i dont know the prices on any of them but i just think get what you really want even if it may take a little longer but in the same sense i never feel that fabrication is a badd thing "IF" you know what your'e doin...

save for the nice expensive part, it's always worth it. Greddy headers are no special, they're about as good as DC sports.

Also, no header is going to give you 10-20whp.

The greddy header is a nice header, my buddy had it on his b16 and made some good power. On the contrary though, DO NOT expect 10-20whp gains with just bolting on a nice high price header like RMF, SMSP, AN-R. Alot of your HP gains, if that's what you're more concerned with, will also vary depending on what motor your starting with, what other modifications you have done, and which design best suits your wants and needs.

If you're on a tight budget, the Greddy header is a good pickup and with the possiblity of modifying the collector to 2.5 isn't a bad idea either. I know that Sparks Racing makes a new 4-1 one piece AN-R style header that is supposedly well built and makes decent power/numbers. Like i said before though, don't expect insane butt dyno results or amazing results with a header unless you plan on really modifying you engine.

Buy once, Buy smart.... you get what you pay for

you need to read more about Hytech, SMSP, RMF and other quality race headers. Those headers offer substaintial HP and TQ increases over DC or greddy headers.

They do actually perfom. That is why they cost $750 plus dollars.
