Default got V-TEC?

hey guys. I was going to put my intake and header back on my teg but before i wanted your opinion. Im burning alot of oil, i mean 2 to 3 weeks after an oil change and I have lost a whole quart. I do have little leaks in oil pan but no where near for that much consumption. I have searched but no real answer other than, "have u checked for leaks or seals", yes i have but could it be something internal. Im also asking because I was going to get turbo but if im using this much oil, turbo is not going to help out much, right? thanks in advance for any help.
I have a 98 gsr with all factory parts right now in case anyone was wondering

Funny this topic should come up .. I just checked my oil today and was about a quart low .. I changed my oil about 1,500 miles ago .. '99 GSR w/ 50k on it.. Sounds like its normal for vtec to do this ..

VTEC engines burn oil notoriously.

My GSR doesn't really burn oil, but a couple of my friends say a small puff of blue smoke comes out as soon as I get to VTEC... Maybe that's why VTEC motors burn some oil.

I rarely get to VTEC anyways, so no worries.

My 98 GSR with 99,000 miles does its fare share of oil burning also. I can smell it sometimes after being in vtec for awhile. I have been told time and time again this is normal for B series vtec motors. Maby it is because of the oil squirters in the block or just the fact that it is reving out to 8,000 + rpms.
I went to the track last weekend and noticed that every B series vtec honda was blowing some smoke as it went down the track.

Just check your oil frequesntly and top it off as needed.
