So the next time a member's car is stolen, or yours is, just tell him or yourself that it helped provide someone with a "good deal".

That and if you get pulled over with a stolen motor you're toast.

Geebus man I was only kidding. I am not an advocate of car theft in any form or fashion. I have had a lot of stuff stolen from my vehicle I have owned and have been ripped off more than once. I hate car theives just as much as the next guy I was just making light of something that pisses most of us off. Sorry if offended anyone.

I apologize if I misinterpreted your post. It just seems that many people all too often "forget" about the pervasive problem of theft and vandalism when they're presented with the opportunity to purchase parts at less than legitimate prices.

Yes, it is a strong possibility, and I personally wouldn't purchase something that I was aware was potentially stolen. I would like to think that others would do the same.

It's all good Padawan. I have much respect for you so no hard feelings. I fell in love with the Volk TE-37's back in the day when I first saw them in Grand Turismo. To make a long story kinda short I met a friend of a friend who had a set and sold them to me for a very low price. $750 dollars for 17's was too good a deal for me to pass up and the guy I met seemed to be an honest man. So I bought them and I often think about the possibility that they were stolen. Granted the had seen some abuse but I still think I got a great deal.

I am a strong believer that things come around and go around. I honestly believe in my heart that the purchase was legitimate (but buying used parts there is always an unfortunate possibility). I may have gotten 'mine' so to speak because recently my jackstands and GSR blades were stolen from my garage. But I have never knowingly purchased anything that was stolen, nor do I deal with shady people. A friend of mine offered me a free car part recently valued at about $200 dollars because they were overstocked on inventory at his company and I told him that I didn't feel comfortable because I believe that there is recourse for such actions. I probably sound like an idiot to most people because of this but these are the values that I keep. Oh and about my friend; I think he was just trying to act cool offering me that stuff for my car... He is normally a really honest guy.

Nuff said.
