Default Getting a new battery

My battery just went out in the 99 teg GSR. My dad asked if I wanted to get a special "racing" battery or something of that type. I wasn't really sure to tell him but said i'll get back to him. Where else would I turn to ask what to do. Does anyone have an idea for a good(lightweight, i guess) battery to get? Or should I just stick w/ a replacement from autozone?

i think a regular high quality replacement is fine...

looks like the nice lightweight 'racing' batteries are in the $100 range

not economical for us daily drivers :D

edit- im finding t1R batteries for $135-- half the weight of stock!

$135 compared to like $40 for a new one. Not sure if it is worth the weight drop. Are those garunteed to work for so long? That's quite a bit for a battery.

you could go with a optima spiral cell battery. i cant tell you how happy i am with mine. i've had mine for over 4 years and for 2.5 years it was sittin in the garage. it was definatly worth the money imo.
