Gap Question
Let me preface this by saving that I am not very experienced with doing work on my car (99 Integra Sedan).........I am learning slowly, but since none of my friends around here are really into cars, it is kind of difficult to pick things up (except for on this board of course lol ).
Anyways, while investigating a loud obnoxious rattle on the underside (heat shield broke loose), I realized that my drivers side front is approximately 1/4 inch lower than the rest of the car. What I mean is that the three other wheel wells have about a four finger gap, and the drivers side front has about a three finger gap. I know, I know, I need a drop.........so don't flame on that, I am working on it.
I am completely stock and have done no racing, auto x, etc. This is basically just a daily driver that gets pushed a little every so often. I have stock wheels with Dunlop Sport A2's. The alignment seems to be ok, and the car does not pull left at all. Does anyone have any insight into what the difference in heights/problem might be? It is something that should be looked at or fixed?
Thanks in advance.

Are you the first owner of the car? Could just be the "Honda lean". That's a pretty small difference. Look to see of anything's obviously bent, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Unless you're 300 lbs the "honda lean" shouldn't be that much. Sounds like your spring gave out. Might as well drop it now instead of replacing a stock spring.
have you checked your shocks!!
just give it a quick push on that corner and see how it bouncy it is
if it bounces back quick its OK
but if it takes a while or bunces more than a couple of times that means your
shock its toasted.

I know that it's a typical thing for integras on here to have a larger passenger rear gap than the rest. My opinion is that they aren't space shuttle tolerences so it's alright. Get some adjustable springs and level it out if it bugs you.
Thanks a lot guys. By the way, I only have 54,xxx miles on the car.........is it usual to have a spring or strut go this early?
Edit...and I weigh 185, so I am not that big of a guy.

Springs don't really "go out" but they may sag a little over time. The shocks should be alright with the mileage you have though it is possible to have a bad one. A blown shock wouldn't affect the height of your car since they only control the movements of the car. They don't hold up any of the weight.
