Function 7 subframe brace
Hey guys,
i have a 96 gsr and i was planning on picking up a function 7 subframe brace for it. i was wondering if the tack welded nut in the back of the subframe needed to be knocked off in order to accomidate the brackets for the back of the brace? If any of you guys have had experience with this brace please let me know.
thanks in advance

On my ASR they stated you needed to remove the OEM nuts welded on the backside, however I found it fit just fine without doing that. Given it added a little bit of difficulty to the install, I didnt like the idea of removing them.
If you have an Integra (or Civic for that matter) with the welded nuts in the subframe, you do not need to knock them out. Skip the backing plate and screw the supplied bolts into the corresponding nuts. You do not need the backing plate if the nuts are there.

this might sound a little retarded but iv heard that you take out the stock subframe brace and iheard that the function 7 subframe brace mounts to it so i was wandering what you exactly do?
Only the integra type r came with a subframe brace. Gsr and rest of models dont have one.
i am talking about the piece that the control arms connect to i thought that was just called the stock subframe brace maybe not but whatever it is my question was does it come off? and also does anyone know if i buy the function 7 subframe brace will the progress technology sway bar the mounts directly to the shock bolt on the LCA's will it fit with the function 7 subframe brace on?
