You'd need a ECU, or some kind of control box, to do it. Hondata has it as a feature. They use a rev limiter to drop the revs on gear changes so you don't have to lift.

no, it's retarded.

i still give a little gas when i shift, but only enough to make the rpm drop slower, and by then, the rpm is exactly where i want it for the next gear. makes for a nice, smooth, seamless shift.

I do it all the time on my other beater teg. Once you get good at it, you won't ever hit the rev limiter no matter what RPM you full throttle shift it at. It is a little rough on the clutch tho, depedning how well you can do it.

It may be stupid to some, but it works if you get it right.

Its ok, if you do it right. It will put extra stress and wear on the clutch though.

Personally, I just try to rev match on both upshifting and downshifting, but I don't drag race my Integra either. I had a 700 whp, 14:1 compression ratio 6.0L V8 in a Vega back in high school for that.
