front bumper question
heh i hit a curb yesterday, and now my corner is popping out... all i have to do is un screw it and then screw it back in right?
also... the bumper got kinda messed up... i thnik its the bumper itself and not just the bumper cover... how exactly does the bumper look? is it just metal or sumtin and then the bumper cover goes over it? i need to buy a new one and i dont wanna buy the wrong thing

The terms "bumper" and "bumper cover" are usually used referencing the same piece. In this case the really big plastic piece, so you can pretty much tell someone either one and they know what you're talking about.
Referencing the corner light. Yes, only the one screw holds it in, but if it got knocked out, then it's possible that the bracket that holds it in place was bent and will require you to bend it out a bit before you reinstall the corner light.

The bumper and bumper cover are the same piece. It's just two different ways of saying the same thing.

That is referenced as the bumper support.

No... when people buy a new bumper, most are talking about the front plastic body panel.
If you want to get technical, then the bumper is the metal bar behind the plastic bumper cover.

Here's a pic for j00 to show you things. Everything said about the "bumper" so far is correct. It's just a big piece of plastic. The actual "inner workings" underneath it is really nothing at all.
How hard did you hit that curb? A curb isn't usually high enough to actually reach the area where the reinforcement bar is. And even if it is, you gotta hit it really hard to do any damage.
Your corner lights do indeed screw in with one screw, but as someone said before, the bracket might be bent or the bumper area might be bent so that it doesn't seat flush.
Anyway, here's the pic of what's under the bumper:
Obviously you wouldn't have an intercooler there, so it would just be empty under there. See how there's really nothing there except for that bar the intercooler is attached to?

Picture of two "bumper covers" or "bumpers." One on the left is a stupid ghey Wings West Aggressor one and the one on the right is one from a 98+ model year

EDIT: If you hit the curb hard enough, it's possible to say that the wheel might actually be out of alignment as well (that is, if you hit it with the wheel as well) making it look like the bumper/fender is out of alignment because everything got bent. FYI: JDM Integras don't even have that bumper support.

shamoo, thanks.. i see now so when i buy a bumper it shuld just go right onto the front and be sturdy right? and if a bumper is just plastic, how the hell is it durable... isnt there ne thing on the bumper cover behind it?

No problem at all.
When you buy a bumper, it should just bolt on. There's really nothing behind it "holding" it on besides the bolts and clips that you see on the outside and underneath. If the car has never been touched and is a USDM model, there will be that metal bumper support and a piece of high density styrofoam there so that the bumper will somewhat keep it's shape if it's impacted in the front. Doesn't do too much though. Most people take it out and leave it out. Mine didn't have it when I put the 98+ bumper on.
Now, this is assuming you are putting on a stock bumper. Aftermarket bumpers aren't always exact fitting. My ghey WW bumper that I had had to be trimmed quite a lot. Don't ask why I even owned that monstrosity.
Also this is assuming your fenders and frame are straight. If they are bent, then the bumper won't look aligned.
The plastic of the stock bumpers are very durable. Just feel it, it's not soft plastic like kids toys. It's high quality urethane, very durable.
FYI: Just read your post again. There are little things under there that kinda make the bumper rigid. When you bolt them up against the fenders, there are little bars that attach that make it rigid over there. The inside bumper also has plastic pieces that make it rigid. Don't worry, you'll be fine. If it's good stock, it's good.

the only thing that should be behind the cover itself is the styrofoam piece. i guess it acts as a cushion if you were to impact it.
