I'm just wondering, this big black thing inside the front bumper in here. Is it really very important? I'm just wondering if I take it out if it will weaken the bumper or make anything wobble at higher speeds. Just wanna double check before I do anything! Thanks!

What are you referring to? The liner? The plastic beside the bumper foam? The intake resonator? What?

 

I think he's refering to the foam piece that goes behind/inside the bumpers.

Interesting...my bumper absorber is white, not black. That's why I didn't know what he was referring to.

He's talking about the foam piece directly behind the front bumper...but mine is white and yours may be too.

 

there is a foam whte thing and there is also this black heavy plastic thing...

i think they are there to help with the bumper (some sort of bumper support or impact absorber)

If you look at the front of your teg than you can see it. The peice that makes it look like your car has gums

Yes, you "could" cut / remove it. Bare in mind it's there for a reason and could most likely degrade the overall rigidity to some degree. Then again it might not.

 

Like I said.. keep it in... (its the grille, where you mount fog lights to.)

 

he's referring to the grill in the bumper....

i *think* (often told it's a bad idea for me to think) that it probably helps support the bumper. I'm sure their are people on here who have taken it off for their intercoolers and what not though.
