Default Flywheel and rust.

Heres the situation. i have a stock b16 flywheel thats been sitting outside for quite awhile. that it has rust on the front and back. now can i use this flywheel after i send it out to a machine shop for resurfacing and lightening too and to remove all the rust?

it's going to get a light surface coat of rust on it...without pictures it's really hard to say.

run it by the machine shop..they should be able to set it straight.

if it's just some light surface rust, you should be OK....the machine shop can clean that up nice for ya'

honda released a service bulletin that advises against resurfacing flywheels. I dont know how much harm it would be to have it cut but i guess i'd see it as an opportunity to get a lightened one
