Flywheel question
I have a question about the flywheel... I don't have pics right now but I'm sure some of you will understand... On the flywheel next to the holes where the pressure plate bolts up to the flywheel there is other set of holes on my flywheel there's nothing there my friend said that there is supposed to be some like rivet type things in there that without them there either the tranny or the clutch may give out really fast or something like that is this true? If so where can I get these rivets at?
I think you are talking about the flywheel dowel pins for aligning the pressure plate. I would think you could get some at autozone or find someone with a old scrap flywheel. I've read they are a PITA to remove sometimes.
Ditto the above^^^, I can't think of anything else that would be on the flywheel.
My question would be, where did they go, like mentioned, they are a pain to remove.

And I'm guessing that I need these pins to put the clutch back on or can I put it on without em without having any problems afterwards?
Reason I ask is because I can find them at any parts store in town or anywhere near and the junk yards don't have anything I can take them off of, anywhere online where I can find them?

As long as the old ones aren't floating inside the transmission somewhere don't worry about them. The bolts are what hold the pressure plate to the flywheel, it'll just be a little more of a pain in the *** bolting the pressure plate on without the dowel pins to hold if for you. Just make sure that if you're not replacing them to remove ALL of them if any are left in the flywheel. You don't want to throw off the balance.
