Default Flat Black

Hey everyone, new to the board, but I've been reading it for some time now.... I need some advice on painting my G2 Integra flat black, what's the best way to do it? I'm gonna do it myself with spray paint and a suitable applicator, but what type of paint should I go with? A black primer then sand it down? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

haha hey! Who's this? Obviously someone from newfoundlandmotorsports.com but who?

Guys I reeeaaallly have to know what paint to get by the end of the day, some people on another forum mentioned that I should use some duplicolor flat black, but I figured a primer would be better for me, then just wetsand it down

black primer will fade within a few months or a little longer depending on how much sun exposure it gets. i speak from experience, get dupicolor or go to a paint shop like dupont and ask them to mix some for you and put it in aersol cans if that is how you are going to paint your car or in cans if you have access to an air compressor and spray gun. hth

we have a guy here in AZ that has a nice Eg hatch..a 92-95, well he has his hatchie painted a flat camo green. We call it THE GENERAL!!! It is NOT primer. Go to a 1day paint shop, or Earl Schieb and pay the 250 bucks for them to paint your car semi-professionally, and it will be a non glossy black finish that wont look like crap. Take a little bit of pride in your ride.
