I recently got a free car from one of my friend. I was like what the hell its free. I was wondering is it fixable? And if it is how much would it go for in a body shop? thanks. i tried searching but nothing came up.

you need to find another shell. so you can chop the damaged one and weld new ones.

 

its fixable... your going to need a new door cause its not cost effective to fix that one and the rear quarter panel can be replaced through welding or repaired through conventional techniques... its up to the shop that works on it....

but thats defitnatly going to be a huge price tag.

Talking in the cheap range it will be 2-4000$ just to fix the damage... then the cost of paint.

now if you had all the skills necesary this would be a 1000$ job in parts/material/and paint.

I used to work in a body shop...

Prices are really high and can vary greatly... also the area you live in seems to make a difference to prices.

 

yeah the doors will be replaced. just wondering how much it will cost cuz it was a free car, but seeing how it can be expensive i can just part out what ever left

 

You can buy the new quarter as well for ~$400-$500.

thats really not that bad. i work at a shop and if you have a small amount of knowledge about cars you can fix it.

unbolt the fender
unbolt the door
replace the damaged door
cut the whole qp out
weld in the new one
body filler
sand
paint

if you do this yourself it should be no more than 1000$

a shop you lookin b/t $3-4000
