Default First road trip!

Well i drove my Teg with a 141k to Wilmingon, NC from NOVA and back this past weekend which is about a 5-6 hr drive and it ran great, i even had the A/C on on the drive back. I had no problems, but i think it burns a lil bit more oil than average, but i guess thats because i still havent replaced my valve cover gasket and spark plug seals. I was impressed, i was kinda worried but she ran good even pushed here a lil bit, but i had to wise up cause i started seeing little too many state troopers around and i didnt want to have to be stuck down there a lil bit longer than i should have. for my Teg. Just thought i would let you guys know

haha you guys act like road trips are major events. I've put 90K miles on my GS-R since I bought it just over 3 years ago, and at 175K now (just about ready for its 3rd timing belt), it still burns ZERO oil.

i had two flat tires on my road trip up to nova this weekend nobody carries 40 profile tires either. stinks that i don't even plan to keep 40s, i was going to switch to 45s when these wore down

Last year I did CHI to ATL and back in a weekend
this year I did CHI to NY and back in a weekend... crazy ****, but now the trips to my friends place that are like 115 miles away seems like NOTHING hehe

I am goin down there this weekend... not sure whether to play it safe and set the cruise, or try and beat the record time my civic set. Door step to door step, it took 1h20m to go 115 miles... this included going thru the towns and sitting at stop lights...
ug, i should be safe

oh, and patrick, we can't all be as special as you haha

Yeah I'm with you there Patrick I bought my teg about almost a year ago and I've put over 30,000 miles on it allready and driven up and down california like every weekend so road trips aren't big events in my life. My car also burns 0 oil and has 0 leaks.

Nor Cal to DFW and back w/ 145XXX on ls/vtec motor. no oil burnt, just broke a axle and clutch cable while in DFW in mid June. Long drive, will never ever do it again.
