Fast?
OK guys this is probably a stupid question but i have a 2000 Integra ls and my friend had a 99 Integra ls. We used to have friendly runs all the time and he will always take me by like 5 cars. We both had intake, header, and exhaust. His motor blew but he swapped it for a b20 and now he has sold the car. Should i buy his blown motor to do a rebuild and do my ls Vtec conversion?
Btw... His car used to burn lots of oil and smoked and i think it might have high compression pistons since it was pretty fast for what it was with no Vtec. He used to beat em1 civic si's and i was a witness lol. He is not mechanically inclined so the motor has been untouched ever since his mechanic did the swap. Is it worth it?

How much is he selling the b20 for...you know those can be bought pretty cheap ya? Less then $700 tops...
Technically all you need is the bottom end and as the head will clearly do you no good since your going lsv. IMO I'd either start fresh, or buy the bottom end only...wouldn't pay more then $50 for it blown. It may be no good.
And he should buy you a beer for taking it out of his garage mate!

but yeah b20 are good motors with the extra .2 litres it makes a major difference when you throw a good flowing head on.
50 bucks is a good deal. the accessories are worth it

Lol yea I'm going to make a choice in the next couple days and then go from their.

BTW I bought my b20b about two years ago from jdm tiger Japanese for 350 bucks and have yet to put it in a car lol. If you can grab it for the right price I would go for it.
