Default EXPERT help needed

Driving around city in 4th, shift into 5th, belt snaps. My car lost power immediatly and stalled out. Heres some pics of what it looks like when i pulled off the valve cover.


conviently stalled out on 1st cylinder.


almost tdc



help, how do I get the cams lined up again.

line up all of the tdc marks. You did check for bent valves rrriggght?

I usually put a wrench on the bolt holding the gear on and turn it by that.

Yeah, you should take the head to a machine shop and check the valves...or at least run a compression test.

you must have bent your valves and some major damage between the head and block, you should check all that first before even worrying about lining up the cams. You'd be pretty lucky not to have bent your valves, damaged your pistons.. etc..
