I just had my gsr motor rebuilt.
It starts up fine and runs fine. however, at idle, intermittantly,
the idle will jump sporadically and when this occurs, the car wants to die out and
and also when you give it gas, it seems like there is a lack of power.
Now would a bad ground cause this?
Car did have starting issues, I changed the ignitor, and it started right up.
Car is 98 gsr

 

Check for vacuum leaks. Use brake clean or carb cleaer, something of that nature on or around the intake. I think with a bad ground the car would have symptoms that would look a little more like a weak battery but would likely not start at all.
