Default engine swap question

would a 2001 s2000 engine fit in a acura 94 and up

yeah i know you would have to convert it to back wheel drive

i just want to know would it go in with no modifications , some modifications, or just a big pain in the ***

could you install it in the acure in the same position as it is in the s2000

bro... i dont mean this to insult u... but if u have to ask this question then its defitnatly wayyyy over ur current abilities....

Go to the junkyard and look at the firewall and underbody of a 240sx..... then go look at the firewall and underbody of your integra....

that will give u just HALF of the idea of what you need to do...... theres still many many more issues you would have to get out of the way...

Donate a few years of your life and a good portion of your sanity for starters. Do you have any welding and fabication experience?

If you can't find it here, look around on the internet. People can't detail out step by step on a motor swap they have never done before....

Default Re: engine swap question (chino2x2x2x)

Just about any motor will fit in any car. Hell I've seen jet engines in CRX's. For starters, s2k's have a longitudinally mounted engine and transmission as opposed to an Integras transverse lay out. You would totally need to fab custom motor and tranny mounts, cut out the middle and rear of your car to fit the tranny, drive shaft, rear axle, and suspension. You would also need to strengthen the unibody chassis of your front-engined, front wheel drive integra to support a rear wheel drive layout. S2K's have an X-bone monocoque frame that is designed for a front-mid engined car, and is EXTREMELY rigid.

But you can do anything you want if you have enough money.

i know you have to reinforce the frame
but
i heard from a friend that you can use the subframe of the s2000 and bolt it in after drilling wholes into the fram of the integra is this just a load of crap or is it possible

would it go in any other honda car
