Default engine swap

I have a '92 teg body with B18A engine, thinking of replacing it with a B18C5 type R engine (2k miles on it, $4k); is it worth it? Will it fit? I've heard that the cable trans will need to be retained from the B18A, why? I've rather have the hydraulic one on the B18C5! I also heard OBD-2 conversion wiring is recommended, is this expensive?

thanks!

Default Re: engine swap (92intb18a)

let me guess, you found that motor on partstrader....

why not just go unretarded, buy a normal gsr engine and build it up?
