Ok here is the problem every time I release the clutch my engine makes a sqealing noise as the RPM's drop. It used to only do it around 3000 RPM, but now it will happen when I rev up and let the RPM's drop just a little. Does anyone know what this could be? I am thinking belts or maybe water pump, but not sure. Thanks for the help.

Check the tension on all the belts. Depending on the miles you may also need new belts. If that is not the cause then look elsewhere.

Sounds more like a throw-out bearing to me.

If it were the pulleys it would do it regardless of what you were doing with the clutch. Tranny in neutral, duplicate the revving & dropping, without touching the clutch pedal. Does it still do it? Then look at pulleys.

Check the pulleys and tensioner on your motor. If those check out ok start looking at the bearings in your clutch.

I have tightened the belt tensioner and it is still doing it. I put new bearings in when I replaced the clutch about 7 months ago. Could the bearings go out that fast? Thanks for the replies. I tried reving and letting the RPM'S drop while the car was in neutral and the noise was still thre.

Well, then I think you just proved that it's got nothing to do with your clutch.

Check you water pump. If that seizes, it'll take your timing belt with it. Bent valves are no fun...

Yeah, I have a new timing belt and water pump, so I'll change those and see if it goes away.
