Engine rebuild...need some help!
I have a 95 GSR with a shot block. I'm thinking about finding a cheap B16a long block to swap into my car so i can drive it. What all will I need to get other than the motor to make this swap work? I know the intake manifolds are different and I can't find a decent priced B18c1 block. Any help would be great.
Not sure how this is a 'rebuild' but yea the b16a fits in the bay and the sensors are pretty much the same(minus the butterfly's in the intake), so maybe just the b16 computer, you might need different set of axles and a set of motor mounts, but I'd change those just with a new engine.
I'm not 100% because this is not a popular mod, you are just taking away 18% of your displacement and putting the engine in a car that's too heavy for it. I'd look into a LS long block, no vtec but at least you'll have enough torque to beat some one on a bicycle.

Yeah, Im in the same situation. Its either put an LS in or fix my block. Im tryna fix the block now. but the LS swap is my plan b. I wouldnt put a b16 in the teggi lol.
