i have a stock 95 integra ls and after i got in an accident ive been hearing a sparatic ticking noise coming from the engine, it isnt coming from the bottom end either, its not a knock, and if i rev the engine past about 4,500 RPM the ticking noise goes away, but as soon as it drops down below about that, it comes right back, its pretty loud too

any idea what this problem could be?

 

maybe just a valve adjustment. does it sound like it's coming from the head of the engine?

i'd say a valve adjustment prolly then. i had the same problem, easiest to hear in the low/mid rpms. i just took it to acura and its like a hundred bucks... but there are some how to articles out there on the net. it doesn't seem that hard, but i didn't have the tools for it...

 

do u think it could be a broken exhaust manifold?
