Engine Model?
Hey, I know this is kind of a stupid question, but I know theres somewhere in the engine bay that says what model engine the car is equipped with.... Where is it in the Tegs? Thanks.
if u have a GSR you have a B18C1, there is a little plate that says that right on the front of the engine, it is just to the left of the heat sheild that is over the header.
Yes it's called a VIN. In the VIN there is "digit" that signifies what engine came with the car from the factory originally. It's in a code however and you need the Helms to decypher it.
The VIN is stamped in 3 places: On the top edge, in the middle of the firewall. On the VIN plate on the dash, just inside the drivers A pillar.
And on the edge of the drivers door or door jamb.
HTH
Not sure if this applies to 1st or 3rdG tegs, or only the USDM and Canadian 2G's
DA9-1.8L
DB1-1.8L
DB2-1.7L
