the Acura deal concluded that there was a leak in the fuel filter or fpr and fuel was dripping on the hot cat and header. so it caused a fire.

you can usually smell a fuel leak before it will cause a fire. if you smell gas check it out asap. i had a leaky injector a few weeks ago. luckily i caught it before it got bigger and caused a fire

i haven't heard of many integras with engine fires. is your car stock/modded -- and if you're modded, what have you done? any idea if the fire was fuel/oil/other? where in the engine bay was the fire located?

haha, for what it's worth, one of my old 944s LOVED to catch on fire so i have a lot of experience dealing with this type of crap.
