Default Engine on engine stand. special bolts?

Do I just use the trans bolts? its a b20 block(my old set up) doubt it weights that much but what if I want the WHOLE engine on the stand...same deal just use the trans bolts?. The stand is from princess auto so like your guys harbour freight etc.

Use bolts that are long enough to reach into the block as far as trans bolts would.

So unless your stand's mounting bosses are very thin (as thin as a bell housing), trans bolts won't work.

I think shock fork bolts work with some washering.

Metric class 10.9 or higher. M12x1.25. Long enough to reach into the block like 1". I use a pass thru bolt with a nut on the lower mounting holes (the ones where the bolts thread into the bell housing instead of the block).

This is correct.

The front bolts, which tighten the fork on to the shock.

I used trans bolts before, big bolts and a nut for the lower holes work fine.
