Alright i'm pretty good maintaining my LS. Do oil changes every 3 months and my car has no oil leaks anywhere. But when it comes time to change the oil there is hardly any there. Out of 4 qts there might be like 1 1/2 left. So what could this be. Oil filter is put on right and not to tight be tight enough. I'm tell you no leaks at all. I beat on it but not everyday, maybe every other SAT if that.

 

You're burning oil. When it burns, it disappears. Simple as that.


Also, you need to check your oil more often.

Am i burning because car is running to hot or just getting on the gears hard? I mean i got no smoke coming from my car and it only got 69,948 on it. Do my mods make it burn i,h,e or poor quality oil. I know I should probably be on synthetic but have made the turn over yet. Still waiting to get my 60,000 maintainance done.

 

Think about it if you put 4 qt of new oil, and when you drain it out you only get 1 1/2 qt. Where did the other 2 1/2 qt go? You're either burning the oil or there's a leak. I mean seriously 2 1/2 qts can't just disappear on you, unless you're sometype of magician. When I had my leak it was coming out from my valve cover gasket.

 

your burning because oil is pushing by your piston rings and/or valve seals, check your pcv valve, check your oil and add if low more often.

 

you're gettin blowby... all your oil is goin out your exhaust pipe and into your intake mani...could be rings... burns more when u rev higher, too
