Default Which engine to boost?

Hey! Ima noob, and I was just wonderin which engine would be better to boost, the ITR engine, or a GSR Engine?

well between the two engines that the OP listed, i would say the GSR only because of the lower compression. But the ITR could put out the same amount of hp with lower boost, only problem is tuning is a bit more difficult with higher compression.

what engine do you have now?

I like the idea of a boosted gsr engine, just because i like the idea of vtec, and out of boost driving wouldnt be so boring...
but an ls and gsr engine could put out about the same power... it just depends on how much power you want.

i think . this is all IMO. if he has a gsr . sell JUST the block buy an Ls block go lsv and boost it.

yah that is stupid, LS-Vtec is not nearly as reliable and should only be used for NA builds

for a small budget with fun B18B/T and it can be upgrade ls/vtec after . for a moore big setup stock with nice WHP GSR/T and for the big whp and RPM TYPE-R/T with low compression and high WHP but i like the IDEA OF SIR SLEEVE for the price of the type r BUT IT NEVER GONNA BE A TYPE R in the head

i have dificulty in english man i just said the type r will be the best for sure but i will take moore time to talk about what i think its evry time a question of money...

its possible to boost an ls/vtec like its possible to boost a type R but to make the engine safe this motor need to be low comp

but the gsr with stock inside will be good too with nice whp...

the engine can be perfectly safe stock inside (ITR) on boost...I dont know who told you a 10.6 CR was god awful high and would just grenade under boost, but they lied

psi doesnt mean jack ****. power and excessive heat is what will break ****. keep the power to a reasonable number with a good tune and you'll be safe.
