About how much does it usually cost to have new pistons and rods replaced in a block at a machine shop??

 

couldn't tell you in your area. call around. get a book and do it your self. that would be pretty cost efficient.

 

here in tx, I droped my b18c1 off at a shop. It was 2gz for everything. That is with new clutch timing belt etc. It was only 400 bucks for them to take it apart, and put it back together. Other than that it was parts, Or them using there machines. I figure It is like having new motor. You should find a "good" machine shop. Not all of them are. Ask around where other people did there's . Also ask were they happy with the end product.

 

well the best shop around salt lake city is ProMachine..but its too late to call for prices so i was just seeing what kind of estimates I could get. 400 sounds about right
