You have to have a program burned to a chip that plugs into the socketed ecu. You can use Crome or Uberdata, etc. The basemap needs to be specific for your needs and setup ie boost, n/a.

Phearable.net uses basemaps which are only from actual vehicles which have been tuned by phearable.net using a wideband oxygen sensor and a dynojet. This is what separates phearable.net from other modified ecu distributors.

Exactly. Just get the basemap of your choice from phearable.net. Only trick is finding an available tuner in your area.

Basemaps are just basemaps. It doesn't matter if they are actually from a tuned motor. Every motor is different. Basemaps like that usually only work well with mildly modified motors.

Basemaps

Tuned

Don't ever believe that basemaps are okay. It doesn't matter who made it.

Did you already order the ecu? I think you can specify that when you order. If you already ordered, contact a local tuner when you have your ecu and tell them about your setup. He'll burn you a basemap.

Yes. Basemap will get your car running until you get tuned. You dont want to go into WOT or boost until your tuned.

Interesting......however they want you to write down your ENTIRE setup because they have base maps from cars with bolt-ons (I/H/E) to cars with mild builds (I/H/E, 11:1 compression + stage I cams) to cars that have 15:1 compression, stage III cams, P&P work, and stroked/bored to 2.2L

You really should get these answers from those guys. They'll tell you what you need to do to make it work. And most mail order tunes work very well as long as you are 100% honest with what you are doing.
