ok I have an annoying problem that is really bothering me.. I bought this header downpipe and hi flow cat on ebay and now its leaking and rubbing against something or possibly something is loose. I no longer have the stock mani or cat so its rather upgrade to a dc or hytec header or find out what up with the leak and squeaking.. what are your opinions and what should I do to fix what I have now and is there anything to do with the clearance problem because I do remember when I installed them that they where touching a metal part due to length of the head and downpipe? plus are hytech headers from ebay knock off or the same thing as any other hytech headers?

 

When you replace or fix an exhaust, nothing should even be close to hitting...if it does, you need to do what it takes to make it not hit. If this means taking it to a garage to have it looked at and weigh your options, then that's what you need to do. Not to bash "ebay" knock off parts, but very rarely should you buy them unless you have a welder and many tools at your disposal. Those parts just don't recieve the same amount of R and D and Quality Control that other companies require. Therefore they usually require modifications in order to make them work properly. Also if you upgrade to a Hytech, welding and fabrication are still necessary...The best bet for you would be to find a stock exhaust manifold and cat, and go back to oem. Good luck!
