E-Brake HELP!
I bought my dc bout 3 months ago ... The ebrake has always been very very loose to the point that it hits the top of my console. I would always leave my car in gear when parked cause the ebrake wouldnt hold up. So i figured its bout time i fix this lil problem. so i went ahead and took a look at my e brake ... i noticed that the drivers side brake line is shorter then the other ... i found that weird. So ne way i tighten it up so that at about 6-10 clicks its pretty firm.
Problem is when i slam on the ebrake my tires wont lock up .... and my driver side seems to have more stoping power then the passenger side.
could this be because my brake line? I got some pics and you can see what im talking about, you can also see how much i had to tighten it to from where it was originally at.

So any ideas guys?

nothing do do with brake lines. they are cable driven.
when you pull up the handle it does not pump brake fluid in the calipers. probably your pads are worn.

If you have it adjusted correctly, offset or not, you should be able to lock up both back wheels by pulling hard enough.
Jack up car, have 2 buddies spin back wheels by hand, SLOWLY pull up cable and await feedback from the first one of your clown friends that says "I can turn it", then you know which should be adjusted or is outta whack.

ABS shouldnt have ne thing to do wit E BRakes or at least im pretty sure.

Ok once i know which side needs adjusment, how do i adjust it? The e brake only has one nut thas connected to both lines ... so how would i adjust one line?
I was also told that maybe my lines have streched out and that once that happens it'll just keep happening but i dont know.

buahahahahahahhahaha!
that's the funniest **** ive read in a while. when you pull up on the e brake while youre moving it will lock up only the back wheels. e brake is separate than abs and your entire other brakes. some one said on here that it has it's own brake drums on higher end integras. oh yeah and my lines are not off set either. theyre straight.

so i should follow the brake line all the way up to my e brake right? but isnt there two different lines? one pair are for my reg. brakes n a whole seperate pair for the e brake right?
yes there are 2 separate lines. one set is hydralic, they are the ones pumping your calipers. the other is a cable, at least it should be. just have one of your friends fool with the e brake lever while your looking and you should see the cable twitch. the wheels will have to be of in order to see this close.
