i recently traded cars with my friend, i traded my 94 si hatchback for his 96 integra ls, when the car is warmed up, the idle sometimes drops to about 7-8 grand, whats causing this? is it something to worry about? need some help, thanks

 

it drops to 7-8 grand? i hope this doesn't happen!!!!! check the IAC Valve and clean the intake mainfold out with carb cleaner, if you have a fast idle valve then clean that to, on my 98 LS i do not have a FIV

thanks, will try that, it doesnt seem to affect how the engine runs, a quick tap of the gas fixes it, but will check the following things you listed

 

7 is normal? my hatchback idled at 1000 warm cold etc and it had a 92 integra gs motor in it, which is pretty much the same thing isnt it? what to do, what to do
