struts if you really want the car to handle well...
camber kit if you want to save your tires.

yeah they are both right I got a cheap lowering kit, without new shocks with camber way off and it bounces and my tires were shot after 9000 miles. Id say get tein coilovers. (kinda expensive) But what I am gonna buy on my teg. Then go and get the camber adjusted and you will be set

What is "droping" again?

j.k.

Anyways,

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by GrafxDesignGuy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">struts if you really want the car to handle well...

It is a misconception that camber causes uneven tire wear... AGREED it is caused by EXCESSIVE camber, although the real culprit is improper TOE settings.

You can be off 1-2 degrees with your camber, but with a proper alignment, your tires will wear evenly.

I only suggest a camber kit if you adjust the height level of your car at least more than once a year.

Some people do that...

if you drop 1.0F/1.4R do you need shocks and camber kit. And if so do you need it ASAP?

stock shocks on lowered springs will blow the oem shocks, just lettin ya know.

camber kit isn't entirely necessary, just make sure your toe is within .08º

first of all, with what springs, do you get that drop? that's a horrendous drop for the integra. your rear will be nicely tucked and the front will still look like a 4x4. please dont get those springs.

plus a drop like that will make your car very unbalanced. you might need a camber kit for the rears. eventually youll need new shocks. first thing anyone should do aftera drop is an alignment, from there you can see if you need a camber kit and how much your toe changed with the drop.

What the hell? Are you sure you read his post right? He said 1" front and 1.4" rear, that's like one of the mildest drops you can get. Tucked? lol I'm lowered 3" and my rear tires are just barely inside the fenders.

Camber kit? no, totally not necessary for that mild of a drop.

Alignment, yes definitely, but wait about a week after installing the suspension.

Hell a drop that mild could probably be used on stock shocks w/o much trouble, but I would get new shocks anyway.

Next time read the post so you don't post a ton of misinformation.

yourmom got pWned (sorry, had to say it).

illiterate *****

To stay on topic, after you install (elaborating on what patrick said) ie: any suspension change, height, new coil sleeves, etc,...let it settle first (about a week of driving) before you take it to an alignment shop.

I meant horrendous as in the front will be way higher than the rear. I was exaggerating when I said tucked. Integras are known to have a higher cut on the front fenders than the rears. A 1F/1.4R drop would only magnify that. I'm dropped on Eibach Prokit and it's nowhere near tucking but the front can fit 2 fingers and the rear can barely fit one.

Didn't mean to post wrong info, you just read it wrong. And I agree with what you said, but it's still better to look at the numbers when you get the alignment done to see if your camber is outside of the acceptable range. I've known of some cars where the camber was previously messed up and they didn't find out until after an alignment.

With a drop as mild as that, there will be enough gap that any difference front to rear probably won't be noticeable. On my car, I had more fender gap in BACK before lowering. The H&R Sports I put on supposedly lowered 1.75F/1.5R, and with the Koni perches on the stock height all around, I had about 2 fingers gap in back, and less than 1 in front. That's why I took the rear perches down to the lowest level, to help even it out. The total drop on my car all around ended up being about 3".

these are eibach pros for the da9. And i messed up it is actually 1.4F/1.0R.

so might it be worth it now? also, i don't want to have a very harsh ride cuz city streets are bad.

The alignment is the first thing you should do..
