Default drop in filter?

what would be the best drop in filter for my stock airbox? its an 01 dc

K&N would be a good coice...hard to say what is BEST...just a drop in filter isn't going to do much for ya.

I use a K&N. You can look up the part number on their website, i think it is something like E-2427, but I'm not sure. It doesn't do all that much, but it helped the throttle response a bit and it definately sounds better. It was kind of hard to get onto the intake arm, but once on it fits perfectly.

anybody heard of the memory filters? Some sponsor is selling them saying that they are from japan. Not bad for the price but I have never heard of them.
