driver side axle/blown boot
the cv boot that was replaced in my car's driver side is blown again, is this expected from torn boots that are just replaced? i discovered this because when i brake the steering wheel starts to shake, no noises when turning. so i thought my wheels need to be balanced and i found the grease all over the calipers.
where can i buy axles? how much, what tools do i need and does anyone have instructions how to do it?
thanks in advance.

The steering wheel shaking while braking is also a sign of warped rotors. Just FYI.
Edit: Here is a link with a how-to for an axle install. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=382416

ive seen that one, but is it the same process as the driver side axle. i know about the warp rotor, inspected that and its ok. cv boot grease is a creamish color correct?

If you're replacing the driver side axle, you don't have to drain the tranny, since the axle just connects to the intermediate shaft. I personally would never replace only an axle boot after it has torn. Those never last. Just get a rebuilt complete axle from AutoZone, and if it ever goes bad again, you get another one free since they have a lifetime warranty.
