Draining the Cooling system
Hello All
I hope this is not too stupid a question.
I have had to replace the the hose that runs from the Head to the Fast Idle valve on my 94 Integra. From the owners manual I have been able to locate the Draining Plug on the bottom of the Radiator and the Breeding nipple at the top of the Head. However I can not locate the Draining Bolt that is located on the bottom of the Block. All the bolts I can see look to me to be there to hold various parts onto the Block.
Can anyone tell me where the Drainage bolt is located? It is a VtiR (which is probaly and Aus model code) with a B18C2 VTEC engine.
Also any tips on filling the system back up to avoid air pockets would be greatly appreciated.
Any Help Appreciated
Adrian

the bolt is on the bottom left side of the block when u r looking at it from the front. otherwise u should be fine if u just turn your thermostat to hottest setting, then bleed the coolant through the valve and take off that rad cap. then once u disconnect the line to the idler, the rest of the coolant will just drain out...

It's a HUGE bolt behind the the exhaust manifold. You can't miss it. I want to say it's like 21mm or maybe bigger. I'm pretty sure it's bigger than 19mm. Be careful when you loosen it, after a certain point the coolant will start GUSHING out, so have a large container handy to catch it.
Thanks Pubestrip and Patrick GSR 94. Your explanations made it very easy to locate the Drainage Bolt on block. Stupid me was trying to locate it from under the car for some reason.
Thanks again
Thanks again

</TD></TR></TABLE>Turn the heater lever all the way to full-hot. Air bubbles can hang out in the heater core. If you're not parked really level, air bubbles can hang out in the upper radiator hose. I just push the hose down to let the bubble move to either the radiator or the head, so I can let them out thru the cap or bleed screw.
