Default DOHC Vtec head?

I have a 96 integra gsr. Can i put any b series vtec head into my gsr block and still pass smog even if the head is obd 0 or 1? Or i have to stick w/ obd2 vtec head. My stock head is crack.

The head casting does not matter. Just use your distributor and sensors.

my friend just reffed a b18a with a b18b head and it was all obd0 and had no problems, you should be fine. i would stay GSR personally

All he's doing is just putting another VTEC head on, he's not switching engines.

thats what im saying, reff doesnt care if you have a different head

the reff gets a little bitchy about stupid stuff, in my case they looked on the head and they saw PR4 and they didnt really have a problem, depending on the reff they might have a stick up their *** about it, b16 should be fine but if you have the choice then i would say go b18
