Does VTEC engage when going reverse?
I know from personal experience as well. Reverse is just like any other gear. If you're accelerating (backwards or not) you're going to engage VTEC.
Might as well answer a dumb question with another one then... Whats the top speed you can hit in reverse?
Sorry in advance

Can I ask how you knew that you had hit VTEC in reverse?

Around 60 mph is top in reverse. I DO know this from a retartded experience. DO NOT ATTEMPT. I did it on a very wide road, and almost lost control. This was in an LS BTW.
Yeah I got yet another stupid question to add on.... Why does reverse make that wierd ZZZZZZZZZ or VVVVVVVVVV noise... ???

Holy ****. I've gotten to like 40 but 60! Sweet god.
I've never even had the clutch all the way out in reverse. I'd wager my car hasn't traveled more than a few thousand feet in reverse.

The gear is straight cut unlike the other forward gears.
