its probably like Koni where you have to get a return authorization and send your shock and proof of ownership.. then they take your Credit card info and you ship them your old shock.. if they find it to be under warranty.. they ship you out a replacement and don't bill your CC>. if they find the defect to be caused by you or other non warranty issue.. then they send u out a new one and bill your CC...
Not sure about the illuminas but the blue ones have a one year warranty. I was told it was lifetime but when I bought them, they had a warranty card that said one year.
I've had a tokico illumina replaced under warranty by tokico. It was kinda weird too, I called up and was like "Yes hi, I need to speak with somebody reguarding warranty information." She was like "Whats the problem?" I told her one of the top's of the shocks (the threads) snapped off while I was tightening it. So she was like "Oh really? That does happen. We will warranty it for you, we usually allow one without a problem." I was like sweeeet, I didn't say that but in my head I was like that. I thought I was going to have to go through all this picture\explanation jazz with some techy. I did have to go through the company I bought them through though for the warranty exchange (www.speedandstyle.com). Since I'm an impatient bastard and wanted my suspension ASAP I just ordered another one instead of waiting X amount of months and told them to credit my credit card as soon as tokico shipped them the replacement.
Cliffs notes: Tokico has good warranty, even the secretary approves them.
