Does this really do anything?
Does reseting your ecu have any advantages? Im just curious because i hear people talking about it and i just dont see any gains being made out of doing this. This is just something i have been curious about....TIA....
It should be done after the installation of a new mod. I don't see any other reason of doing it otherwise. It won't yield a power gain on its own.
i think resetting your ecu will just end up making your engine run more smoothly instead of actually making more power. it might be better to reset your ecu after mods...but i don't think it'll show up too much on the dyno.
If you don't reset it right after a bolt-on, you'll be fine. It will just take a bit longer for the ECU to learn the fuel trims necessary. Oh and BTW, it will only affect part throttle settings. WOT fueling is preprogrammed. Resetting the ECU will not affect WOT.
