Do visual/show mods devalue a car?
My uncle crashed his integra and he wants to just give it to me, and if I do get it I was thinking of flipping it, but I also want to do a early 2000s tuner style build, things I want to do is paint the interior, and bumper lips. What do you guys think should I just fix it up and sell it or do some visual/show mods to it like painting the interior and that type of stuff and still sell it
Yes, you will ruin any perceived value of the car by doing ricer mods such as painting the interior. If you wish to keep the value of the car, only do modifications that allow you to return the car back into stock form prior to the sale.
On the flip side, a crashed integra that is perceived as $0 value being given to you, rice it out to your heart's content as whatever you sell it for will be more than you purchased it for.
