Dizzy question
Its an emergency, my buddys 98 LS just quit on him today and we broke it down to a no spark problem. I am almost def. that it is a coil problem, what are the ohm values for measuring the coil. What is considered in spec so to speak. An also what other coil will fit this dizzy. I know that there is **** out there on this topic but i dont have time to search right now. PLZ help me. Thanks
It could be the coil or it could the the ignitors. But if ur buddy has a 98 ls then its a obd2. so any coil that came out of an obd2 b series dizzy will fit. as well as the ignitors
my car did the same thing a couple weeks ago its just a hole lot easier to change the dizzy if you mark it you might beable to get buy without timeing it. did you alreadly check the timing belt to make sure that the belt didnt snap? just swap the dizzy out your lookin to speend around 150 - 200 for a used one or 250-500 for a new one. im obd2 with a gsr my dizzy cost about 300 plus a 80 doller core charge. thats what i would say to do (speaking from experience
