Ok so i have and obd1 vtec dizzy and cant find a cap that fits its. it says p73 on the plastic part around all the electric sensors behind the rotor. i've tried everything i can think of from b17 to b18c to b16a1 to b16a2 i'm lost. is there a diff with jdm dizzys????

What is the serial number on the leg of the dizzy where the mounting bolt goes through. It should be a TD-68U

 

go to autozone and try to match one

 

there all the same part number from a del sol with b16 to civic si to ls,rs,gs integra even gsr and type r are all the same numbers. gonna take pics and look for the serial # tomorrow

 

ok heres what i got off the dizzy for numbers td-68u than under that 4517, thats for the one on the leg. on the back of the dizzy its d3179

 

im pretty sure its a b18c5 dizzy, im running the p73 dizzy in my b16, and im trying to see if it would have any little effect on timing,and idle

 

I can say for sure the 99-00 b16 si cap and the 94-95 obd1 gsr cap are different parts from the dealership. I ordered a 99 si cap for my obd1 gsr engine from the dealer and it didn't fit. I then went to the acura dealer and got the obd1 gsr cap and it fit perfect. I went to the honda dealer first just cuz it was coloser and I figured they'd be the same but they aren't.
