hey everyone..changing my distributor cap today on my 2000 gsr..i bought one from NAPA and its slightly smaller..i figured they gave me the wrong one but i also tried it on my 95 gsr..it fits fine..so my 2k gsr distributor is slightly bigger..i called up the parts stores and they only carry one part number..i called the dealer and the same part number comes up for 95 and 2k...what the hell is going on? NAPA told me there are 2 depending on the cc's either 1797cc's or 1843cc's..they are orderin the other one for me..why is the 2k gsr different then?

 

2000 gsr is obd2, 95 is obd1, I never heard they were a different size, but they should be different in terms of operations. If NAPA can't tell in their database, go to the dealership, the 2000 gsr part # is 30102-p54-006, while the 95 gsr is 30102-p72-006
